Tips on Airline Check-in, or avoid what I did last week when flying back from France.
- Mistake #1 - confusing the departure time and the checkin time; the wrong way. I arrived 30 minutes before boarding but luckily could rely on the planes all being late (as usual). However, if you are running late, make sure you don't do what I did:
- Mistake #2 - I was wearing boots with large metal buckles which set off the metal detectors so I had to take them off, queue to get them X-Ray-ed along with the rest of my hand luggage. At least I remembered to put the laptop in my checked luggage; if it was in hand luggage, I'd have to unpack it and boot it up.
